The moment he said stomach bursting i knew it was aliens from alien vs predator. Cant wait to see zheng fight with how he easily bended that metal with one hand.

Alien 2, not aliens vs. predator. In novel they know it is alien 2 because there is no shortage of ordinary aliens and there is alien queen

But given the obvious allusions in the episode (eg 'Ellen', and 'May 25 1979') this would indicate the original film: "Alien" (singular) ...though -if accurate- 'BHW223' would be a discrepancy as that may be an hint at "Prometheus" [planet LV-223].

haha yeah that was pretty funny but i hope we wont have that type of character every time they get dropped into a new world... they are a waste of time

Its like a trope for this kind of series. Whenever a new task comes and new people are summoned there is some deliquent/yakuza character that doesnt believe whats happening and wants to take control of the situation.

There is a manga called gantz that has this trope and similarites to the way people are summoned in this donghua including the rules like you can survive a fatal wound aslong you dont die before round is clear.

yeah its been a long time since i saw Gantz. But i dont like tropes.. i mean every person is unique and they have their quirks and personalities.. there is inspiration for new types all around us..i just dont like seeing the same types over and over. i know its too much to ask but at least from time to time i'd like to see something new

I have a love hate relationship with this series. I love it, but I also hate that they always cut the episode off when it's getting really good...
Oh well, guess I'll have to wait for the next one again...

This is just 1st novel in trilogy

Gets awesome the further story gets. But, near the end whole thing gets awful and completely fucked up. Problem starts when author started mashing in Neon Genesis Evangelion and book 1 (at 90-95% of book) ends up worse than wtf ending of NGE (very similar though) and NGE already had bad ending by default and it was even cut short because they lacked funds so they strapped like 15 episodes in last 2.

Tried reading the second book, but I just couldn't stand it. It follows different group of very similar people (MCs from first book barely even appear) and you pretty much read same story as book 1 with same discoveries. The only new things are rare occasions when first book MCs appear and story progresses a bit further, but the amount of repetitive slack was just too much

aaah i want more episodes now please :)
